Just wondering if any of the posters have ever had this.

Had an intense masturbation session in the morning and about 10 hours later had blood in my urine. today my urine is fine. Awaiting results of tests though.

Haven`t hobbied in the past 3 months.

No ab/back pain so i know its not kidney stones. Just wondering if its a ruptured seminal vesicle or infection or kidney/prostate cancer???!!!

Just realized i posted this a few years ago:- guessing i need to change my masturbation techinique

It's likely nothing.

Sometimes when you orgasm, you clench internal muscles, etc., and there are slight tears/ruptures that cause minimal bleeding. If it has already cleared up, it means that it was only minor... happens all the time.

True but none of the websites talk about masturbation related injuries. Out of the 14+ i went one briefly mentioned it. I thought fellow terbites may have some info.

way out in left field
It could also be a sign of a bladder infection but if you're talking about whacking it like a monkey in a mango tree, you could have torn your urethra or something.

If it persists after a day or two, get to the doc because it could lead to other more serious problems.

uh, let me get this straight - you have blood in your urine and you are looking at Google and Terb to figure out why? Go to a doctor -- Terb is a review board, Google is a search engine and we are talking about your health.
If you don't have much time to do that go and call Tele-Health Ontario and see what they say.
Your health is one of the most important things, this could be a larger issue and not caused my 'bating too hard.

i think i may be terminal, but if you act fast you may be able to save yourself........amputate your hands

DUDE! At first I thought this was a joke, (still do) so I cracked one myself near the beginning of this thread... as have most of us that have posted on it LOL!

Like CUPID said... this is a review board and a place where people come to mess around in our otherwise mundane days (LOL!)

If in fact it is serious request (?!), go straight to the doctor! There is no one on this board qualified to give you any advise what-so-ever aside from that!

as I mentioned earlier..."awaiting results though" - i'm not an idiot to wait around when something serious like this occurs. Got it at 8:30pm last night and was in the 24hr walk-in clinic in less than 20 minutes giving them my urine sample and had to give my blood sample at 7:30am today.

I only posted here coz i felt it was masturbation/sexual activity related and since we're all hobbiers there maybe a terbite who's experienced it before. I'm not asking for medical advice at all...asking about anyone's experience.

A fellow terbite has already PM'd me w/ his experience and I thank him for his PM.

Cupid, I don't think the issue is whether or not to seek medical advice, rather it is how fast to seek the medical advice. Was this a one time thing that a couple hours later was no longer present in which case it might wait for a routine appointment, or is it a reoccurring or continuing problem in which case seeing a physician immediately would be wise. I suspect the OP was merely looking for some reassurance rather than honest to goodness medical advice.

That is the the biggest misconception out there. So many people come in thinking they know what is wrong based on what Wikii, a Forum, or some other site posted. Its funny how some people come in already knowing what medicine they might need and when they dont get it, your not competent.

Hematuria has many causes so if your truly concerned, go see your local doc. Just because you had one episode of blood and now everything is fine does not mean you should ignore that incident. Its better to get checked out now even if your fine so any tests can be done and a record kept of the episode if this re-occurs later.

...okay so read further and you did see a doc...

A few years ago, I would have agreed with you. But having had to "use" the canadian
medical system a few times, I think maybe Google is superior.

example: I came in with a child who had an ear infection. The doctor
took book from the bookshelf and read for 5 minutes, and then turned to me and said: "do you want me to give him some antibiotica?"

Good job for going to get tested ASAP. My uncle was peeing blood for 4 months and didn't go to the docs....he now has a tumour. I think its a man thing to not go to the docs , even when its serious (as peeing blood usually is!). I think the second I pee blood I'll be at the nearest clinic!

nothing wrong with your urinary system, it's just slight irritation as you stated you had an intense (PSE style) masturbation. next time just do (GFE style) more gentle masturbation.

just drink plenty and it will clear up.
signs of urinary problem is on and off blood stain urine and straining during urination. if having urinary infection you will notice cloudy urine and foul smell

Perhaps it's time to look for a new family doctor...
Second that opinion. Doctors here are unreliable. Always need to get a 2nd, 3rd or 4th opinion.

Case in point...had bell's palsy (facial paralysis). As soon as i discovered it when i woke up in the morning i researched online and went to see my family doctor. He said it was nothing inspite of asking whether it was Bell's Palsy.

I was dissatisfied w/ his response so I saw another doctor - said the same thing "I have many years of experience and this is not Palsy"
After 2 days i was fed up coz it wasn't getting any better and went to a 3rd doctor who immediately said that it was Bell's Palsy after i told him what had happened and said it was a clear case and suggested I go to ER.
Went to the ER the 4th doctor said it was a clear case, gave me medication and asked me to see a neurologist who conducted tests.

Moral of the story - if you have a problem - google it to understand what's going on - go see the doctor - if they brush you off get another opinion. If they're all fuckups go to ER. Sure you'll wait 7 hours in ER like I did (if its not an emergency like a heart attack) but atleast you'll get to see some competent physicians!!!!!

well since I was not there I cant really take a side.

but with opening a book, what would you prefer the doctor do next time. If a physician does not know the Dx of a PT, then atleast they are being honest and opening the book in front of you rather than hiding in the back.

I have worked at the Cleavland Clinic and its happened many times. PT's came from all over the US looking for 2nd opinions of a Dx on a matter that they home docs could not sort out. Many times these docs would bring in other docs into the room for a second opinion or pull out a textbook to make sure any other disease can be ruled out.

So many symptoms people present can lead to the same Dx.

And as another poster said, with OHIP, you are free to see any other doctor - yes there is a waiting time and its hard, but the option still exists.
