I posted a link to this photo in a post in the incall forum, but I thought it would make a good subject for a poll in the Lounge. All of us have different tastes in women. Some, like me, prefer curvier woman, while others have a taste for spinners. So which of these three lovelies would you choose? Miss Size 8, Miss Size 12 or Miss Size 14?

(BTW, I would take all three but with Miss Size 14 ranked first and Miss Size 8 a distant third.)

I'm thinking there is no way the women shown as size 8 and 12 above are even remotely close to those sizes. The women shown as size 12 would be more accurately depicted as the size 8 and the size 8 woman is likely closer to a size 4 or 6. Unless you are referring to Chinese women dress sizes.

Even still, I would prefer the woman in the middle (labelled as 12).

I do have to agree.

Size does not matter that much to me. Personality and the ability to adjust to each others wants and needs is the most important. That said I do have a tendency to lean toward the petite woman at present.

Oh well, the vast majority can fight over 12 but the minority with good taste can savour 14.

If I had to pick just one.. I'd take "size 12" (bad names, I think..).
But if I could choose as many as I wanted.. I'd take them all. Together. Never had a 4-some before.. would that qualify as an orgy?

The results are interesting compared to the results from the original much larger poll that this pic came from. We have 12 taking an overwhelming majority of about 66% and the other two evenly splitting the remainder. The original poll of 60,000 readers of FHM magazine had 12 getting 41%, 14 close behind at 39%, and 8 lagging at 20%.

The article says:

[FHM] found that when shown pictures of three bikini-clad models, four out of five men said they were more attracted to the size 12 and size 14 models than the model who was a slimmer size 8.

The majority of votes went to the size 12 woman, with 41% saying that she had the body shape of their "ideal girlfriend". Almost as many men voted for the Nigella Lawson-esque size 14 model.

"A piddling 20% of readers selected our size eight model pictured as their ideal girl-physique," wrote FHM editor Ben Smithurst.

"Which proves one thing, ladies: crack a beer, hoe into a hamburger and we'll love you just as much." Or maybe even more.

You're not the first to comment on the accuracy of dress size numbers. I thought dress sizes varied significantly depending on the designer/manufacturer and price point. Isn't it the rule that the more expensive the clothing line, the smaller the size numbers?

Anyhow,the point of the poll is the different body shapes, not accuracy of dress sizes.

Sometimes designers do this. I am aware that Le Chateau will mark things as a size smaller so the buyer feels better about themselves when shopping at their store but they only provide sizing in Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large. For the most part though, numbered sizing is typically the same. I fit into an 8 in an Old Navy dress and I also fit into an 8 in my Michael Kors gown.
