Just saw the latest Bond movie, "Casino Royal." Fabulous film! One of the best Bond films to date.

Wow! love the French actress Eva Green (pronounced 'Graine' en francais) as Vesper Lynd. She realy captivates the screen as does the sultry Italian actress, Caterina Murino and the Bosnian Ivana Milicevic as the villainess henchman to "Le Chiffre.''

So gentlemen, who are your favourite Bond girls?

Aside from the latest Bond ladies who I adore, I really liked Ursula Andress, Maud Adams, Carole Bouquet, Claudine Auger, Britt Ekland, Diana Rigg and Carey Lowell.

Who are your faves?

I loved Sophie Marceau in The World Is Not Enough. I thought she real shined over Denise Richards who was supposed to be the eye candy in that flick. Two scenes stand out: #1 The scene where she is torturing Bond and then sits in his lap, #2 When she is, of course, in bed with Bond and shows a little hip. Drives me crazy every time!

Sorry Musketer but even if Eva Green is a french women we do prononciate Green like in english because the double "ee" is not a french word.

Je suis d'accord, mais 'during the interview I saw with her on TV5 the interviewer pronounced her last name 'graine.' Don't ask me why, because it also didn't make sense to me.

Hey teach, if it didn't make sense to you, why would you instruct all us heathens on how to pronounce it? To make a statement like an "authority" and then retract it, doesn't sound very teacher like.

What does the pronounciation of the lady's name have to do with being a teacher, or with with you driving a 4X4 for that matter, I'd like to know?

On French TV that's how her name was pronounced during a recent interview. Simple. Tribute magazine also says the same, so who am I to say otherwise. I didn't retract my original statement.

I merely agreed with Jeff, that as a person who also speaks French, it didn't make much sense to me either from a pronounciation point of view. But how one pronounces one's name is one's own business. In English we have the same.

For example, take the Scots (my other half). Peter McKay's last name is pronounced Mackaay (phonetically) by most Canadians and that's the pronounciation he chose for himself.

However, in Scotland, the same name is pronounced Mackeye (phonetically). How one chooses to pronounce a name has to do with where one comes from geographically, the local pronounciation, and one's personal preference.

Would you seek to correct Peter on how his last name is pronounced?

The bottom line is that Eva green is drop dead gorgeous and is one of the best Bond girls ever, in my humble opinion.

There is always Grace Jones to consider from "A View to a Kill".

Your explanation is good Mustekeer. Bien parlé! But as you know, what is on TV is not always the truth and these people do not have the best prononciation and gramatical knowledge. At the beginning of the Afgahnistan war I saw on CNN a map representing this country in place of Austria in Europe!!!

Going back to the James Bond Girl, I saw that your guys love the french "bond girls" ! Yes Eva Green is gorgeous! As CArole Bouquet (her surname in France is "cold beauty") and of course the beautiful Sophie Marceau. Vive la France et ses belles filles!

Musketeer, we should write some review in french also!

Take care
