Definitions:
Homicide - simply means someone killed by someone. All murders, accidents, manslaughter etc. are homicides. Killing in self defence is still homicide.
Manslaughter - didn't intend to kill the person. self defence, accident, vehicular homicide (usually dui)
Murder 2 - meant to kill but was on the spur of the moment
Murder 1 - meant to kill and planned it.
Conditional sentence is serving time in the community.
