Can a SP stay retired? If so, how? If not, why?

I have read that some SPs have come out of retirement recently and some stay then go and come back, begs the question:

Can an SP stay retired?
If so, how?
If not, why?

Or is the money, and ease of earning money, too much of a force to resist.

Yeah, they CAN stay retired. They used escorting as a way to get $$$ for something else (e.g. school, own business). Or maybe, they found a sugardaddy. Anyway, they move on. But sometimes, that goal they had in mind isn't all it's cracked up to be. And the $$$ is "relatively" easy so they come back. Or maybe, they just take long breaks to get them back in the right frame of mind.

That's a good thing about the business for women, it's one of the few careers that are flexible to their circumstances.
They retire for different reasons and a few come back for different reasons, we can't give a blanket answer to fit them all and it's really none of our business.

I think there is an escort who took two timeouts to have two babies. More like maternity leaves than retirements, I guess.

I met some dancers who "retired" and returned to dancing because their BF's bled them dry.

I think in this industry any women can stay retired, if managing her money probably. Treating this enterprise for what it is a business; However, the sad part is many come and go using it as a quick fix to their own financial problems.

Years ago I knew a stripper, who worked at the Pro Cafe, a remarkably pretty girl from Newfoundland, a sweet spirit in deed. Got caught up with an asshole boy friend with a crack habit.

Some months later while walking around downtown on a night I walked into her around wellesley, and Sherbourne, all spaced out on junk. We start speaking with one another because I knew her previously, " listen to her song and dance, and joke a bit with her."

This was sad because the girl was extremely talented looking, in a," Jenna Jameson," way. I thought to myself how stupid, what a waste. Moment later her boy friend approached her. A short little scumbag, and asked her for money.

The two started arguing right there in the street. I just simply walked away, thinking to myself of all the money she was wasting on him, and her new found drug addiction.

Personally I think a girl can do very well in this and earn some great money to move towards. betterment of there lifestyle and retirement, if they treat it as a business, manage themselves well, in both presentation and actions.

Also, selecting the right partner for themselves, with the philosophy, " no leeches allowed," and not getting hung up on the drug culture. Honestly I think the fallacy for many is they get accustom to the high earning in the beginning as being new girls, getting so much attention, and instead of saving their money for retirement or proper investing. They retire, for a bit and then come back in hopes of regaining some of that wealth they misplaced.

However, this is just my thought in perception on this, no one can stereotype anyone; person has their own reason for coming and going, but one things for sure if they manage them self well enough, once they gone they never will have to look back, or come back. :)

I saw an interview on TV where a retired SP said that she is no longer looking for clients, but if the offer was made and the price is right she would accept. Its like being a plumber or an electrician. Even if you are not doing this job now, would you turn down $200 for a couple of hours work?

So then they never can retire absolutely because they had a taste of how good and easy the money is....? When they are in trouble financially they come back to us?

That is a decision for her to make and not be questioned by it. Why would anyone ask.
You're right, but I think the OP is just asking a general question. (It's just a fascination about the industry in general).

I agree with what freestuff and Brill said.

At the end of the day, if they can retire, good for them.

She's not the 1st or the last who has had the bad influence of a controlling or leech of a BF compounded by a drug addiction. It is sad.

This is just like asking men who have hobbied if they can quit completely - just like everything else, yes, but it may be very difficult because of:

(1) the temptation of "once tasted the honey you need more" - for the SP = money; for the hobbyist = sex with diffierent women of your choice, without the effort (eg. courting), without ties

(2) necessity - for the SP = make an independent living; for the hobbyist = maintain a sexless marriage (well one of the ways at least)

Some, I believe sort of semi-retire, seeing a restricted list of clients, for their own recreation, rather than having a relationship. This is probably the minority of the ladies, where money is not the only or major motivator. But, damn, when you find them, are they ever a lot of fun!
