Well he sure sounds like a jerk. In threatening to "ruin your business" has he given any indication that he might show up and physically harass you?
If he's just threatening to post bad reviews and such I would ignore him. There are ways of dealing with bad reviewers (like getting him banned from terb) that do not involve putting someone's family and career at risk.
On the other hand if he is going beyond emails and phone calls or indicating that he would go beyond that to some sort of physical / personal / direct encounter then he might really be a danger not only to you but, eventually, to others as well.
I think it's worth drawing a line between jerks who are assholes online and psychos who represents potential physical danger.
