Can anyone Trace Gmail IP??

Can anyone trace a Gmail back to the original IP address?
I got screwed on something from craigslist and I would like to get as much info as I can about this jerk in order to get my money back.

I tried doing it myself, but i could only get back to the Google servers.

Check under the Gmail Help menu, yes you should be able to
open Email header in gmail.

I did that, but it won't show you the originating ip like Hotmail or Outlook does.
I've contacted LE to open a fraud case, but I would like to try and get things moving a little faster myself and see if i can convince him to give me my money back.

yes, there are some email progams that can hide the ip of the sender
so it wouldn't matter if the email had been sent to hotmail or OE.

Open the email in Gmail, click on show orginal. It display header details.

Tried that, the header won't give me any info about the originater. All the info leads back to google, i guess that's why he chose gmail.
Hopefully Peel gets back to me soon with this thing.

If the message originates from GMail then the sender IP is not available.

But Gmail would have logged the access to their server. I don't know it they would release that info to LE or not...
