One of the largest third party payment companies is here in Toronto.

I can't see this industry going away quietly. With the amount of money spent there is no way they have not been lobbying the US government prior to this bill being signed.

From what I read..and this is only my opinion...would Paypal not be an acceptable payment option? It offers credit and debit functions and is arms length from the seller and buyer?

You have it backwards. The Vegas interests want online gambling, albeit on their terms. This is about the online casinos and cardrooms who don't, ahem, participate in the political process. If the pols can't get a piece, they'll legislate you out of business.

I believe Bush will sign, but I also believe you'll see some new legislation in the next year or two. Gaming corporations generally donate to GOP causes.
