Who knows if it true, but with the Orange murderer unwilling to meet w Carney and Carney meeting with Xi, its a nice way to put pressure of the USA. There is NO WAY the USA can compete with tariff free Chinese EVs so if Trump takes Canadas car industry we will not be buying a single car from the USA.

This seems to be real. Chinese EVs in Canada will be a game changer. Especially if they can be priced similarly to Chinese EVs in Australia.

I am not sure, apparently the Canola tariff has not really been a problem. Canola is like oil, if China buys elsewhere, Canada can fill the holes in the market. Just the farmers doom and gloom as usual. The good thing about the China tariffs is now we can diversify our Canola marketing and be less dependent on them. If auto companies leave Canada can put massive taxes on vacant plants and force them to sell to others.

Last time i checked, the Jamberoo water park in Sydney or RAAF Base Amberley isn owned by BYD or Chery...yet

So... those Chinese EV's have devastated every economy they went into. If Carney let's them into Canada, all our manufacturing jobs will be lost, as will all tgevsecondaryband tertiary suppliers... this will effect all their non automotive customers... Anyone thinking this is a good idea needs to look past the low price and consider the effect on the economy.
