I lived in the U.S for 2 yrs and would like to be absorbed by the U.S. . I would never have gone to war for the U.S. however especially uncalled for wars like nam or iraq

It would be like annexing 32 million democrats. The Republicans would be out of office forever.

illegal.

Second, you'll have to suffer the indignities of unbridled hubris.

Third, you'll have to buy a gun.

Fourth, you'll be expected to go to religious services once a week.

Fifth, you'll be expected to shaft your neighbor 6 days a week.

Sixth, you'll have to forget all geography and history not dealing
with this new country, i.e. Old Europe.

Seventh, you'll have to give up the Queen as a symbolic leader.

There's more, but it doesn't come to mind right now.
