This is heartbreaking, a true Canadian sporting legend.
The Grim Reaper isn't looking so good, he took a wedgie from Lemmy and now a clothesline from Canada's Greatest Athlete. It's not easy being a jobber - he usually kicked the crap out of every wrestler he faced. Then he would submit to a chintzy finisher. And he earned his reputation for toughness the hard way, before wrestling he was a bouncer in a downtown Hamilton club.

I used to laugh because when gorillia monsoon was commentating, after that would get announced he would always say "I think Gretzky would win hands down" lol

In my first years in Canada, I used to get up every Saturday morning to watch CHCH Wrestling. I still remember how shocked I was when The Scheik first showed up and took out The Mighty Igor. To help get the CHIN Picnic going, Domenic DeNucci would hold wrestling events at when it started at Centre Island. He, Tony Parisi and The Beast were the headliners, of course. Back then only Italians and hippies attended - those flower children stunk like shit!
And that polka music they played to start the show is permanently etched on my brain. Does anyone know what it is?
