I was watching Saved By The Bell this morning (for nostalgia's sake) and was startled to see not one, but two references to Canada in general and Toronto specifically.
Zack was dressed up as a soldier impersonating Slater (who was trying to avoid going to military school) and he suggested they invade Canada and "hide in the woods outside of Toronto." I did a double take when I heard it, rewound, and watched it again. Then a minute later there was another reference to invading Toronto.
The interesting thing was that the guy who plays Zack pronounced Toronto like the natives do, as in To-ron-o rather than the way tourists normally do, To-ron-Toe.
Which makes me think either Zack has been to Toronto or the show had a Canadian writer on the staff.
