can't use PM's here either

I'm having the exact same problem there4ug. They tell me it's because I'm using netscape and for some reason that's incompatible with the programming (I don't see how, but .... ???)
Anyhow, if you should come across a solution to the problem, drop me a note on it, and I'll do likewise for you.

Hehe. The other way around. More likely the programming is incompatible with any non Microshit browser.
Frequently happens. Billy Gates likes it that way.

I use to have the same proble with Netscape. I know use Internet Explorer and have no problems.

Older versions of nestcape will not work on some bank and secure sites as well.
You need to upgrade to the latest version of Netscape or switch to IE.

Netscape is OK

actually I had upgraded to a newer Netscape but some of the "improvements" they had made were counter to what I needed so I went back to this version. It does however work fine on my banking site and my brokerage site, also no problem on a couple of other discussion boards (not hobby boards but "real world" stuiff) In fact it is pretty rare that I do encounter problems with it, but they do inexplicably crop up from time to time, like the PM issue on this board.

I had the same problem for months and the only word I got from Fred was they were working on the problem. I was using an old version of netscape I'd been using for years. I recently had to upgrade to e-file and after that I was able to reply to PM's again.

So an upgrade seems to be the answer. I'm glad to know what the problem & answer was.

It works - I upgraded to the New Netscape.

Like to keep all my confidential stuff on the scape to keep it
separate from IE.
