Probably some French Canadian with a separatist streak who got offended by seeing the Canadian flag.

No they didn't, they announced they were going to the commercial, but didn't cut away as Canada was coming up the ramp.
If you were watching in the morning it was live, and I highly doubt they would ever do that. They don't do that during hockey or any other live event, and they would not here.
If you were watching in the afternoon or in the evening, it was a rerun and of course they put a commercial in. That way you would watch the commercials and would have time to get family and friends to the tv.
Folks making derogatory comments about Francophones or the CBC in this case are IGNORANT!
So much hatred for unions. You try to turn every thread into a rant against them. Your blind rage is so intense that it completely undermines any credibility you might otherwise have.

He also doesn't realize that for events like the Olympics, they hire contract technicians who are not staffers for CBC.
