Changing songs times

Just DL a complete mp3 audio album in VBR (Variable Bit Rate) off GigaNews. All the songs are correctly listed and play perfect with CD quality sound. When Played with Winamp player some of the tracks show the wrong play times, ie., the song should be 4 minutes long and plays 4 minutes long but shows up on the Winamp playlist as being 18 minutes long!
Question: is there an easy way to change that 18 minute play time listed back to the correct 4 minute time? I tried right clicking on the mp3 file properties of the tracks involved, to see if it could be changed there but got nowhere as yet.

Many players have problems with VBR, not much you can do except try another player, e.g. VLC Player: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

VLC Player, a great player BTW, only played some of the tracks.
Winamp plays all the tracks, just has the wrong song times listed.
Seldom use Windows Media Player, so don't know what it would do.

Nero Express, ROCKS however!
Burned the CD with Nero and it gave all the correct song length times etc.
