I have an upcoming court date for 2 HIGHWAY TRAFFIC ACT offenses. They are scheduled in a week at the York Civic Centre at Eglinton and Keele.

Has the strike affected the courts? It is a provincial matter but art the courts staffed by city workers who are on strike?

For HTA offences, no. The crown, court clerk, judge and police officers are not CUPE. For parking offences and 'other' that was undefined, management is filling in.

As said to me last week by the crown prosecutor at York Civic Centre.

But, picket line is up and strikers occasionally let in one vehicle at a time. Don't drive there, you won't get in. Many police are staying away too apparantely. Good time for a traffic trial!
