Question for you, if somebody has lived and worked in the US for a long time but they don't have their citizenship or a work permit, do you think they should have the right to stay??
While Title42 was in effect, which automatically turns back immigrants at the border. So the spikes don't mean much.
If they have not committed any crime, yes they should be given a path to citizenship and allowed to stay.
If they have committed crimes, then they should be arrested, presented to an immigration judge, who will review their case, possibly issue a removal order and then the person can be deported lawfully.

Yes they do. ICE is just hunting down anyone even with a temporary protective status or conditional bail, both of which are legal statuses and deporting them is still unlawful.

There is also a humanitarian impact that needs to be considered.
