Even though the Summer Olympics are taking place in Rio , it is actually their "winter " season.

If you had a choice, would you live in a tropical climate like Rio where you have warm weather all year round or live in what we have here in TO where we have pretty cold winters to hot summers?

I like the 4 seasons that we have gives you something to look forward to, my favourite season is autumn.

I like cloudy, rainy, foggy weather. Warm weather just makes me want to go to sleep. I like the sound and clean smell of the rain. When the sun comes out right after a heavy storm is about my favourite kind of weather ever.

I like spring summer and fall but winter is definitely not one of my favourites. So I don't mind living in tropical climates. Would be nice to always walk outside and it's warm.

I can't imagine living in a climate without 4 seasons.

I love the autumn cool breeze. Unfortunately, we often don't get too many months. Sometimes it's only the month in October and then winter arrives.

The Big Island (Kona) is hands down the best weather IMO. Not too hot, always a nice breeze. Awesome.

I like the four seasons. I just wish our extremes weren't quite so extreme (milder winters, cooler summers).

Went to Thailand for 5 weeks, very hot 35+ every day, sweat a lot just walking around, thought it irritated me at the time, but froze when I came home as it seemed to take forever to warm up. I hate when we have a few warm days in march and everyone thinks winter is over, then it gets cold again.

I hate cold drizzly spring days that seem to drag on forever. Been to Thailand many times now and walking around in shorts every day isn't bad especially as one gets older and finds no real purpose for winter. I like skating on the local pond but it's only really good a few weeks a year, one warm spell ruins it for a while.

I hate winter. If I never saw snow again in my life, I'd be just fine with that.

I fucking hate winter. [Repetition intended.] I hate snow, ice, cold, sleet and weeks on end of nothing but grey sky and cloud and gloom. I hate short days, and feeling like "it's getting late" and it's only 6 p.m. because it's pitch black out. I hate shovelling snow, I really hate walking in winter because you never know when you're going to go right on your ass and as I get older, falling unexpectedly becomes a little more frightening. When I see my neighbour break his ankle wiping out on the ice on the sidewalk and a year and half later, he still has a limp. I hate always feeling cold. I hate all the clothes you have to wear. I hate not being able to walk around in shorts outside. I hate all the winter clothes stacked up at the door and tracking snow into the house. I hate not feeling like going outside.

My dog is not big on winter either. My cats positively hate it too. They stop dead in their tracks when I open the door to let them out.

The only think I like about winter is a really violent blizzard. That I find interesting.

Spring, summer, fall, all fine (but late fall fills me with trepidation because I know, "winter is coming").

My perfect world?

Hawaii from mid November until end of March.

Italy from April 1'st till June-ish.

Toronto (and northern Ontario) from Juneish till mid November.

Yes, I am not that old yet but I have had injuries so it is scary for me in the winter. I hate ice.

My doggie (a black lab) loves the winter and the snow but hates the heat. This summer, she hardly wants to go outside.

I prefer sub tropical, i really enjoy the Hawaiian climate due to the trade winds so it never feels too hot there and is fairly nice year round.
This. Hawaii has never been above 100 degrees.
