This Sunday night, 13th, 9pm, CNN has episode 1 of 4, on the origins of the Live Aid Concerts (40th anniversary) that raised millions for famine relief in Ethiopia. The 2 concerts featured the top musical acts back then. Phil Collins performed at both concerts , first Wembley Stadium in London., then he took the Concorde to perform at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia. Queen stole the show with their set.

All you young terbites, this is a must watch when music was real!

Most of the food purchased with the proceeds from the concerts and the singles We Are the World, Do They Know It's Christmas, etc., reached Africa, but never left the containers where they ships dropped them off. The warlords who control those regions didn't want those people to be fed.
