What do you guys use to convert video formats?

I want something that is reliable. I'm trying to post to the web some HD 1080i 24p content that I edited in Adobe Premiere Elements 3. Now I need something that will compress the file and preserve as much high quality as possible.

i'm thinking an mp4 codec converter is what i need. any suggestions of what software to use? any free stuff out there that's half descent?

Super is much better, and its free
Super is NOT better. It's just a front end for every codec under the sun, based mostly on FFmpeg, and it's a POOR front end at that. It's fine for simple stuff, but it wouldn't let me use an arbitrary resolution (640x290, kept changed the resolution and aspect ratio without telling me) for the output. God only knows what else is wrong with it.
