Why are the numbers in your first post different from those in your second? Examples: Finland 4.9 and 4.5, Norway 3.9 and 3.8, Sweden 3,5 and 4.4. Perhaps a reference to your source would clarify this fascinating topic.

I noticed that myself, but I thought the differences are insignificant. How do they count it anyway, except by import of coffee. And maybe the swedes drink weaker coffee than the danes. I would imagine, that the first posted numbers are more recent than the later posted numbers.

You can have your own opinion but not your own facts....

Oh well, what conclusion of interest would you draw from these stats other than if your winter sucks you drink coffee....

tyskland? (finland?)

frankrig? (deutchland?)

Anyhow, you should have gone to the effort to look up Canadian consumption. Its simply the patriotic thing to do.

And as a Canadian, we always consider our friends, so you should have looked up American consumption as well, since lots of them read TERB too. And here I thought Danes were thoughtful people. :p

ps. Canadian consumption = 3.1 cups/day, for 92.4 litres per year

American consumption = either 1.4 or 2.6 cups per day, depending on which of the randomly googled websites is correct.

Bayer.com says the average German drinks nearly 4 cups a day, but this article says only 2.1. I think the size of the cup may vary from article to article. Maybe someone who cares more than I do, can come up with the definitive numbers to prove that Europeans suck (more coffee than North Americans do, per day).

I am thinking of opening a coffee house and offer 50% off to all regestered Dems. We could follow the trend and maybe even get a grant to fund this. I suspect the suicide rate would be important to some.

Or you could attack the problem on the front end and offer free coffee and hemp products to those willing to be sterilized........
