I just got a use Toshiba satellite pro 430cds laptop for like $15.
It is currently running win 95 and everthing works cd rom, disk drive.
It will run off the battrey for like 1 to 1.5 hours. It does not keep time thought.

Does any one know where I might find an used or cheap 16-bit pcmcia cards;

Ethernet card
&
Modem of some type

it does not keep time becasue the cmos battery is dead. i have a bunch of PCMCIA cards, both Ethernet and modem. PM me with an offer and I may be inclined to part with a couple.

You mention Ottawa.

Try OttawaLaptops, on Baseline Road (north side, just East of Greenbank).

Or you can check with The Trailing Edge, in Bells Corners or PCCyber (Bells Corners, Westboro, Glebe). RefurbComputers (particularly at their OConnor location, also located at Merivale Mall and Gloucester Centre on Blair) might have the parts you need.

Thanks all for the replys I got a coule of cards that work given to me.

As far as the computer keeping time so what for all I plan on using it.
