I use Internet Explorer
Periodically I delete all of my cookies, temporary internet files and history.
After doing this, when I type a line in the Address bar, Explorer will not "complete" the line with an address I've used before (this is what I want). However, not all of the "Merb" and "Terb" references are deleted. IOW, if I type in "m", approximately 10 "suggestions" for addresses (all merb threads) will appear in the address bar. The same thing happens when I type "t", I get "terb" suggestions. This doesn't occur for any other websites. Does anyone know why Merb and Terb "stick" on the machine? Curiously, I have surfed Perb (although I'm not registered) and the Perb references do get deleted.
I'm not worried about prying eyes looking into my surfing habits since only I have access to my computer, but sometimes I like to clean things up.
