Regarding a sports thread on Bouchard suing...There is so much talk lately of this including our own tennis star Bouchard who had the slip/fall. EXACTLY what it is like. Totally disoriented, lights, sounds, a total mess. She sure was not faking...very hard to come back from. (sorry about the vapid reporter) That's a world class athlete stumbling around.

One of our members actually suffered at least one concussion and described the effects in one of his posts. Not pleasant. It also has long term permanent effects.

The thing about Bouchard is she blames the Tennis Association. If you fall at your gym and hit your head would you sue the gym?

I had a concussion and was disoriented/nauseated at first. My hearing was very muffled in my right ear for over a month. Not fun. The problem is once you get one concussion it's then easier to get more.

Yeah I've had three (diagnosed anyway) two playing football and one (the worst) while doing a run outside last January, hit an icy patch and did a major Flinstone flop. A year later I am still very light sensitive and unexpected loud sounds send me through the roof. As for Bouchard suing I have no comment, albeit I'm sure she wishes that it did not happen.

I've had them too and the only way to describe how I felt was imagining the worst hangover you ever had, multiply it by 50 or more and that feeling lasts from the time you are awake until you go to sleep. Needless to say, I tried to sleep all day...which cause other issues and that a totally different topic right there.
