Hi, call me nutty for caring but I am very concious of cooking smells at my apt.If you visit an incall would it be a negative thing to smell any cooking smells? I ask this as my nutrition has gone down hill as I am paranoid of cooking and a client smelling the odours...

Eat well princess >

because you're going to have to stay well!

It would not bother me - in fact it might even enhance the atmosphere, depending on what you're cooking of course.

Guys with a partner, who have sneaked out for a little R & R might have a difficult time though explaining how they came home smelling like roast beef instead of gasoline when they said they were just going out to have the car serviced.

thanks

for caring. for me it depends on what's being cooked. I love food and find that aromas can inhance moods (scents often trigger memories for me - good and bad). I also think that there might be a difference between lemon chiffon cake and lamb vindaloo (for examples). does you sove/oven have a fan on top? use it and clean he filter regularly. then again, you can always boil some frech vanilla to eat away at the aromas.

good luck

Get a coffee maker and brew a strong pot of coffee after you've aired the place out from cooking. Everyone loves the scent of coffee even if they don't drink it.

Smell plays a major role

For me smell plays a major role. Heather's coffee idea is a good one. You may try room spary 5 minutes before the client arrives. If your room has a smell problem then client is likely to notice it when he enters. However, after he enters your apartment and when the effect of room spray is diminished, he is less likely to notice that. I think human nose is sensitive to drastic changes in odors and not so sensitive to gradual changes. You may try scented oil among other things.

If you are a good cook then have food on the menu and cook while client is present. This way you don't have to worrry about loosing your health. Who knows you may see more clients because of your cooking, and you may have another business ;)

You have to eat so you have to cook.

But if you know your schedule, you can try to avoid cooking certain things. Or, you can cook particular dishes on purpose for the odour enhancing effect.

I agree with the coffee comment. Baking chocolate chip cookes helps too. :)

I think most reasonable guys will understand that you're a normal person too and therefore you have to live. A small amount of air freshener doesn't hurt. You can try scented candles etc as well.

Generally you just have to reasonable with scents be it from cooking or otherwise.

IMHO of course.

FYI, this is something that I have heard many coffee drinkers say. It is worth noting however that many of us who do not drink coffee do not enjoy it specifically because of the odor.

You might try to keep your bedroom door closed all the time, and keep some scented candles lit in there too. This might minimize the scent of cooking in your room - which is where it might be most objectionable to clients.

Also, try to keep your windows open when you're cooking a strong dish, like fish or garlic-laden spaghetti sauce. Air freshener helps, but a nice breeze is even better!
