It changed kids a lot. The cohort that had a few years of lock down seems to have increased rates of anti social behavior.
I agree, even my friend has some form of social anxiety, doesn't want to hang out anymore but we force him to once in a while.

Life has changed in many ways since COVID, leaving lasting effects on how people live and think. Many individuals came out of the pandemic with less money, facing tighter budgets and learning to prioritize needs over wants. At the same time, people became more careful with their health, paying closer attention to hygiene, exercise, and the importance of protecting their immune systems. Crowds and large gatherings are often approached with more caution, as some still prefer distance or smaller groups. For others, the disruption of old routines created an opportunity to break harmful habits, such as drugs or alcohol, and replace them with healthier choices. The pandemic reshaped priorities, reminding people that well-being and balance matter more than anything else.

Personally, I try to avoid crowds and shop in the daytime, not busy hours or week ends to minimize my exposure to people. I have learned to cut my own hair during the pandemic so I did not have to go to the barber. I have been to a fast food restaurant less than 10 times since 2020.

If anything, my alcohol tolerance went down.

Maybe it's middle-age speaking but six beers and one bottle of wine has become my limit. Hangovers have turned into full-day ordeals post-pandemic. It used to be I would be fine if I had a couple glasses of water, a big breakfast and a hot shower.

Talk to an early years educator and they’ll tell you the cohort that weren’t even in school at that point are even worse, suggesting that it wasn’t necessarily the lockdown that is having these effects. There are kids who weren’t even born during the lockdowns who exhibit this.

Research is now revealing changes to the brain caused by the virus, and that the more exposures (ie. infections) the more likely a person is to exhibit mental decline and behavioural changes. It’s not just children, but it appears most obviously in kids because they are less able to self regulate anti social behaviour than adults are.

Sadly, yes.
And more neurological conditions like Parkinson's and many forms of dementia.

Stay healthy my friends.
