Ya, you're awesome...dull but awesome...The word covid has ovi in it, and because of covid, ovi won't catch Gretzky. Gretzky was 19 when he first won the hearttrophy, covid 19 also has the number 19 in it. I'm a genius.
Ovi won't catch Gretzky because he's simply not good enough. Never was, and based on his current performance, doesn't seem he ever will be. Good? Yup. Great? Debatable. The best? Nope.
As a fantasy debate, it makes for interesting banter, but the reality is Gretzky was and always will be in a league of his own in almost every offensive category. No one will likely ever erase his records.

It was never a contest. One year he had more assists than anyone else had total points. I used to puke when basketball "experts"(?) said that Jordan was the most dominant athlete in sports. 99's dominance dwarfed that of Jordan.
The goalie equipment was also half the size. Although the sticks weren't as good either.
