They exaggerated the whole situation.
That aluminum cover is not a structural part.
It’s only a very thin cover that attaches to other plastic shields.
If the cover hits the road it will make a loud scraping noise but it won’t cause you to loose control.

I'd never use or recommend CT for any car repairs unless there was no other choice. And even then I'd take it to my regular mechanic to check what was done. I've heard too many horror stories over the years. BUT I will concede there are some (but few) okay CT service centers...just a matter of finding then and knowing they keep reliable & experienced mechanics on hand and not just apprentices.
