Currently I watch individual divx file using Windows DIVX program on my PC.

What program should I use to burn multiple divx files onto a regular DVD disk? Intention is to use a standalone DVD player to play different divx files stored in one DVD disk.

Any good suggestion? Thanks.

Pretty much any DVD burning software that came with your puter would do.

I usually use Sonic or Drag and Drop CD/DVD that came with the machines. Simply drag , drop , then burn.

Depending on your Divx original file, the image you'll see on TV may not be comparable to what you see on your PC.

I should be more specific. The DVD must be setup with chapter or file system configuration that the standalone DVD player can pick and choose which divx file to play. This is more complicated than just burning the divx contents to disc.

If you want to create a DIVX DVD use NERO or Roxio, In some cases depending on the make of your player you may have to create a directory structure to house the files in or the player may not know where to look. Your basically just making a data dvd. If you are going to make a DVD menu and chapter stops and combine movies, you will need to use the re-authoring utilities and possibly have to encode the DIVX files to another video codec such as MGEG4.

I think most standalone DivX/Xvid players have menu systems to select AVI containers. Have you tried a standard non-multisession data disc with multiple videos on it?

No I have not. I am skeptic that it will work. Qhag mentioned about re-authoring utilities is require. However, Divx is MPEG4 ASP, Divx and avi is similar, meaning that any player that plays avi is capable of playing Divx.

LOL ...indeed , you should have been.

Simply burning your Divx files on DVD, your player would usually display a menu with file directories ( both my samsung, LG do ) but nothing like standard DVD movies chapters menu with file images.

For your specifics, I second Nero.

cypherpunk,

I burned a DVD using Nero Express V6 with multiple videos on it. Using a $40 DVD player which support Divx, all video files are listed under a file system format which can be selected and play individually. The file type does not have to be .avi, mine are all stored as .divx

Thanks for your advise. ;)
