Credit Card Interest Rates?

Has anyone been successful in calling up their credit card company and requesting a lower interest rate?

I've heard that if you're a good customer that they will actually lower the rate if you ask.

You can lower your interest rates but at the cost of a fee. I got a MC and i pay $15 / yr (i think) and my rates got reduced. I've only had the card for just over a year. Hope that helps, i don't know anything about visa or amex though.

I get low interest rate offers quite often - anywhere from 1.9% to 4.9%. I've even gotten 0% for 3 months a few times!
