OK, I'm having SERIOUS difficulty in trying to access folders/drives on my old win98 computer via my new winxp system. I am using a direct cross cable connection. I went into my old computer and set up I want to share files from this computer in the Network and then I went to my C and D drives on that system and set them to share with full access.

Now in my new system I establish the LAN connection I do a browse on Entire Network and can see the name of my old computer but when I dbl click on it I get an error Cannot find network path.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Also make sure you shut down any firewalls you have running on both computers.

Firewalls + the NetBios allowance over TCP/IP was the thing.

Thanks.
