You would think it would be so simple if a light is red stop, if a light is amber proceed with caution and if a light is green that means go. Plus for people being at a cross walk drivers should use caution especially if they see it is an elder or a child. I believe most of the problems stem from drivers who want to get through that light before it turns red or even if it just turns red they do not look nor do they care it is like they will lose a huge chunk of thier life if they have to wait at a light.
It is like they look at a situation and very hastily think hey I can just charge now and I can do this giant leap. Driving in now way should be looked at as a challenge like you are on a football team or in the olympics. Some childs life could be at risk. Lots of children just look to see the little walk signal and think it is safe to go. On the same note I have seen many curtious drivers as well that have slowed right down and waved thier hands to proceed a big high 5 to all those with patience and curtiousy.
