Damn check disk

Some one played with my PC at home......me.....

And the system is set to go to disk check every time I power it on......"hit any key to stop disk check".....if I miss it it takes forever to finish....

or i reboot cold and sit there to stop it.....windows XP home edition

how do I stop this........

Go for a soda and let it finish.

Edit: oops, did not realize he sometimes did let it finish. I thought this was a one time thing. The reg fix below is probably better.

Unless you really do have a disk problem.
