Today (Saturday's) Globe and Mail has a Globe Toronto section article about a stripper trying to organize workers.

She's a cutie who wears an eye-patch.
She wants to:
- overturn the ban on lap dances, which she says just criminalize something that happens anyway;
- end nude on-stage dancing;
- end the "venue fees" that some clubs charge dancers to work there.
It seems her thesis is "dancing is about sex, admit it, but let us have a decent chance at earning money and not give it away for free onstage", e.g., if you want to get a good look at the Y, pay for a lapdance, and you'll get your money's worth".
