Dangerous Dan's Diner - Anyone survive the experience?

This place is comparable to The Heart Attack Grill in Phoenix AZ, but it's right here in Toronto.

I love everything about this place! The lack of ambience to the surley attitude behind the counter, this is a place that will give your heart a good ass kicking and show it who is boss! Plus it is right across the street from Jilly's so when you are all finished the Quad C you can waddle on over for some lap dances.

Came out of Jilly's once & had the Coronary burger. Never again. I shat for days on end.

I used to eat there all the time. It's a good old fashioned burger joint. I don't eat red meat so I could for their chicken breast on a bun and it's GOOD. Good old huge pile of fries and loads of ketchup........it certainly isn't a stereilized corporate burger joint like harvey's or McD's....

Speaking of surley attitudes - are the guys that used to work the late night shift at George's chicken behind Filmores still around? I would go in at 2am just to watch them verbally and physically assault the crack heads and drunks that would come in. It was like being in the middle of a jerkey boys phone call!

Actually, I've been to both. They're not even close to being the same except they both serve large, sloppy burgers. Dangerous Dan's has "atmosphere". That is to say, it's not overly fancy, maybe even a bit run down. Heart Attack Grill on the other hand is bright and clean. If you've searched the net for videos, you'll see that their waitresses are babes in nurses outfits, very skimply nurses outfits. Both serve a greasy, calorie laden burger but that's pretty much where the similarities end.

I did the Heart Attack Grill as well. What you don't see on the video is an amazing tequila bar. Must have been 30 different kinds.
