Democrats like to define themselves as the party of poor and middle-income Americans, but a new study says they now represent the majority of the nation's wealthiest congressional districts
The party of the middle class??..I don't thinks so, but yet most of the lemmings still believe it.
Here is a reality check...our country is being run by a bunch of out of touch politicians, that feed us soundbites we want to hear......get the masses all wound up only to take care of themselves...

Both the Dems and the Republicans include many rich assholes. But the Republicans have many more assholes than the Democrats do. At least the Dems make the pretense of helping the middle class, the Republicans just fuck over anyone who is not in the upper echelon.
I always figure middle class republicans to be masochists who enjoy getting abused by their masters. Poor republicans are just stupid. Black republicans are insane.

Why do you think Dems are solely the party of

Do you think FDR or Kennedy or Kerry were/are poor?

Sometimes you bemuse me. Other times I think

Unfortunately I think you are correct on this one and it is a bit of a shame. From this side of the fence it seems as if the Repubs are becoming too associated with the religious right and Dr Strangelove fruitcakes.

It's too bad because we both need governments who are fiscally conservative, not pursuing a bureaucratic growth stategy and yet are small l Liberals (or in the UC small d Democrats) on social issues.

As I've noted before, frasier can't understand anything unless he can describe it in black and white.

Spot on definition!
We all know bot is the bottom masochist here.
lange, well his whole thinking is absurd and is based on his upbringing in Deutschland not here!
He still does as he is told, by his masters....

Anyone born and raised in the USA knows the GOP is the party owned 'lock, stock and barrel' by the rich not the DEMS. Poor lange is a useful tool though, to be used by his GOP masters for his ignorance of this US history that he accepts from the El Rushbloe ilk, rather than a good US history textbook...

El Rushbloe chants his mantra almost daily:
"You don't need any education, just listen to me."
lange does make a right fine dittohead.....

DQ and Asterix...if I am off my meds then you should go on them....how can you sit there and state that there is nothing wrong with our political system

We have ever rising taxes, which you guys seem to think need to go higher????
Our politician know just about nothing about the woes of the middle class...except raising taxes.

DQ claims to be a fiscal conservative and a social liberal which makes no sense at all...because guess what who will pay for the social programs? Not the rich, because they are smart enough to find ways to hide it...

hmmm..your positions only make sense if you work for the goverment...which would explain a lot.

Sometimes, frasier, your stupidity just astounds me. You will swallow any line of BS.

Here sports fans is the key piece of data cited in this study:

But in a broader measurement, the study also showed that of the 167 House districts where the median annual income was higher than the national median of $48,201, a slight majority, 84 districts, were represented by Democrats.
Wow, 84 districts of high annual income are represented by Democrats!

Gee, but 167-84 equals 83.

So 84 are represented by Democrats and 83 by Republicans.

84 vs. 83. Hmmmm. That's 50.3% vs. 49.7%.

That's an enormous difference, and worth posting and writing articles about, isn't it?

Just more BS from another right-wing source.

TOV..your narrowminded thinking on this even astounds me..where the hell did I make a judgement on democrats vs republicans?
Quiet the opposite is true...my beef is that we are represented by people that can't relate to us....period.

Like Ceasar said.."Give the masses bread and games"
