Fairly big upset in the featherweight division tonight. Manny Paquiao dominated top pound 4 pound fighter Marco Antonio Barrera for 11 rounds until Barrera's corner threw in the towel.

It's a shame Eric Morales moved up to junior lightweight, cause I am sure the power punching Paquiao could give him all he can handle.

HUGE win for Paquiao,seeing as he throughly dominated one of the top fighters in the sport. Barrera has a rematch clause but I cant see how he would want any more of Paquiao.

A new star is born in the world of boxing.

I'm sorry I missed it. Some of the lighter weight bouts are wars. I didn't know it was on and ended up watching, ugh, hockey. Poor remote management.

Paquiao had the hand speed of Eric morales but with better power. He beat Barrera to the punch all night. WHen Paquiao said in the pre-fight press that he'd stand there and rock with Barrera, I thought he was plaing Barrera's game and being a lighter fighter (having moved up for the fight) it didn't look good. Nice fight. Who will fight this guy? Brawling him doesn't work, maybe a good boxer that can stick and move, softening him up.

Hopefully they can set up a featherweight unification bout between Paquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez. I think Marquez is a more technically sound boxer ( has vicious uppercuts), has youth on his side (he's only 26) and might be able to frustrate Paquiao with his counter punching style. Pacquiao could also just overwhel Marquez much the same way he did Barrera.

None the less, it's the best fight in the featherweight division that can be made.
