Not the big brain, the little one. I thought I was really "pumped" about trying the new scanner but clearly was not that impressive.

The system is designed to pick up things that are out of the ordinary. Obviously your's is not!

So are they going to have female operators for the woman and men for the men?

Seems like an even bigger invasion of privacy than normal.

I've been thru the scanners a few times and the staffing is clearly not politically correct. It would seem that they have concluded ( rightly so in my case at least) that any males gong thru would not object to ladies viewing the monitor thus saving them having to change operators all the time as people file thru.

I was thru the first time shortly after it was introduced at LHR on a voluntary test basis. You could avoid it by going thru the regular, and much longer line, or try the new beast and be done sooner. I went with the new and had a good time chatting with the operators after going thru. Being the comic that i am I asked them right off to please not snicker at anything they may see as I went thru. I claimed I had just been in a very cold pool and hoped they would understand.
Its really no big deal as i'm sure most of us in this "hobby" have had our packages seen by many women, whats a few more. Of course after going thru the scanner if they were really impressed they may take you aside for a thorough "hand examination". Win / win and its free.

The ladies in question, while not 18 year old spinners were indeed quite acceptable. Of course since I'm no Brad Pitt clone I can't be as particular as some people.
