ALL WEEK Mayors,Dr's Police etc have been telling people DIWALI celebrations have to be scaled way back this year due to Covid.So what did the Peel Police and By Law have to do.SHUT DOWN a very large gathering at a Brampton Temple with little SD etc. Hope they get hammered with HEAVY fines. They cannot say thet were NOT advised against doing this. Covid cases will maybe rise in Peel just where they DONT need to! To quote Mrs. Brown ''Feckin Eejits''!

That would not only be violation of rights but also discrimination of religion
If you bothered to read the story you would have seen police knew / expected large crowds are were onsite to help with traffic duties
Const. Sarah Patten said police were at a temple on McLaughlin Road South, north of Highway 7, to direct traffic for a drive-in event.
"However, within a short time, a ton of pedestrian traffic started to come and gather in the parking lot, gather in surrounding parking lots as well as enter the temple, which is in strict violation of our current restrictions in Peel Region," she said.
"So, we did contact bylaw, and our officers have been assisting the bylaw officers to get everyone to disperse."
Patten noted enforcement officers also broke up several gatherings in neighbouring parking lots.
