The claim is that the machine causes vibrations that are transferred to the body when someone is in contact with the machine. These high-frequency vibrations cause the whole body, including the tissues, tendons, bones, and muscles to vibrate like they would when exercising.

I have doubts

Of course they don’t. Pure snake oil. Anything that someone tells you will help you get fit/ripped, lose weight, whatever without having to do much is complete bullshit. You want to get in shape? Go to the gym and work hard. That’s the only way. There are no (legal) shortcuts.

Actually, you are supposed to work out IE squats, rubber band stretches etc while using the vibrating machines. So, was it the machine or the exercises that got you into shape?

These machines have been around a while so the verdict should be in, however, any study that verifies they work was probably sponsored by the manufactures so we are back to square one.

The studies I read on the net indicates they have some limited value for specific needs

Why don't you just sit all day in a TTC bus and see if that shaking makes you lose weight?

Its effectiveness as an exercising tool is questionable, though there is some agreement about them helping with joint pain and circulation.
