Hi folks my dog is sad as I am in Toronto working and he is feeling neglected. Do u know of a dog friendly hotel/motel/bb that would accept a very well behaved usually friendly dog?

Poor doggie!

There are many options for you.

As far as hotels go, I suggest that you do a Google search for "dog friendly hotels toronto". I did it for Buffalo and found a lot at one time when I was going there for a weekend. Problem with this is then your dog is in a hotel room all day.

There are many "doggie day care" places, one not far from me in the Beaches (Queen East, north side 2 blocks east of the Fox cinema) which is about $25/day and I hear it's great for the dogs.

There is also a pic-up service called the "Fuzzy Belly Bus Company" which is a big schoolbus that will come to pick your pooch up, they go out to the country or something, I hear it's good.

Kennels are hit and miss because of the number of boarders, and ofter they are just that, kennels, i.e. pens that your dog gets locked in without much interaction with humans or other dogs.

Another option is just to advertise for a dog walker who will come in the middle of the day and take your dog out for an hour or two, the going rate is about $15/hr.

What area of town are you in?

The Metropolitan in Toronto is a Dog friendly hotel. I read this on there website this week after booking a dirty weekend in T.O.

Do a google on the Met hotel in T.O.

Yes we are very close lol but not that way. He is very personable and is a one person dog. When I date he is the jerk detector. I try to be careful but if I mess up he will catch them at the door. I trust his opinion. I live in the Kawartha's but never work here. Gabby
