Although the Rosedale United Church was involved with helping
the refugees to settle down I don't see difference in religion being
an issue. We are living in a secular society where influence of Christian
faith has long been watered down. The sponsors of the Muslim
refugees do not belong to the evangelical segment of the Christian
church. In all likelihood the motivation underlying their humanitarian
effort to help the refugees is humanistic rather than religious.

I actually borrowed the phrase "doing God's work" from the following two sources.

1) Our local church. "Doing God's work" means helping the needy.

2) Saw Dr. Kent Brantly in a TV interview say he went to Africa to "do God's work" i.e. to help the sick get well.
