...actually, I'm talking about movies.

I was just watching "Living in the Shadow of Motown" and was thinking what a great double feature it would make with "Bueno Vista Social Club".

Other good DF's:

The Hustler(1960)/The Cincinnati Kid(1965)

Butch & Sundance with The Sting is too obvious so let's try the Robert Shaw theme with:
The Sting(1973)/Jaws(1975)

Eight Men Out(1988)/Field of Dreams(1989)

All Quiet on the Western Front(1930)/ Platoon(1986)


BTW, my favourite movie SP is Jamie Lee Curtis in Trading Places(1983). World-class rack and a fantastic gumchewer.

"The Killers"/"Hard Boiled" - Two great Chow Yun-Fat shootfests
"Mad Max"/"Road Warrior" - its obvious, but a great double-bill
"Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon"/"Iron Monkey" - the legends come to life

and for the truly obscure tie ins:
"The Conversation"(1974)/"Enemy of the State"(1998)

and the Akira Kurosawa film students double features:
"Hidden Fortress"(1958)/George Lucas' "Star Wars"(1977)
"Seven Samurai"(1954)/"The Magnificent Seven"(1960)

I strongly encourage any fan of Movies, Cinema, or Filmmaking to see these unbelievable Kurosawa films if you haven't already. They're why there is a "Best Director" Oscar, and why Kurosawa was given the Lifetime Achievement Oscar a few years ago.
