He was getting $150,000/month to be Jacko doc. He killed the goose that was laying the golden eggs!

Should of had the same jury on the O.J. Simpson case!!!

Having been found Guilty of Involuntary Manslaughter, Dr Conrad Murray has been remanded into the custody of the Los Angeles County Sheriff pending sentencing on Tuesday, November 29th.

Citing reasons for remand, the Judge could not be certain as to Murray's risk of flight, and allowed that Murray had no Constitutional right to bail having been convicted of a felony - a felony involving the death of a human being - thus, the public safety is best served by remand.

I bet if you add together the time he served in jail and the time he spent working for Jackson, and compare to what he was paid--that it's still going to be a damn good hourly wage.

in the end of it all, I hear he could end up with house arrest and spend no time in jail.... and could still be allowed to keep his medical license.

It's possible, which is what's being discussed. But it's also considered unlikely.

He is licensed in four US States; in each case it is up to the State Medical Board to determine the fate of his medical license. All are expected to take away his license, but it is up to them. So it's possible that he could keep his license in one or more States, but it is still considered unlikely.

As for time in Jail, he is certainly spending time in Jail between today and his sentencing on Nov 29. If he gets the full four years, with no prior convictions it is possible that the Bureau of Prisons could release him to House Arrest after perhaps one year. Again, though, this was a homicide (involuntary manslaughter), so it would be less likely that they would take such a decision, but we won't know for sure until they make that determination.

I have mixed feeling about the verdict. I only know what was talked about in the media. We all know how fucked up Jackson was (seen in interviews, dangling his kid over a balcony, inviting kids over for sleep overs etc etc). you can't really blame him, he didn't really have the best upbringing.
Anyways, He was clearly an addict and I personally believe he delivered the fatal dose. But it doesn't really matter at this point he's guilty.

After this trial you can be sure that personal physicians will film and document every time they administer drugs to their patient/s. It's the only way to cover their asses in this day and age (cover your ass world).

the big point in the case was that the drug that was used should have never lefted the hospital

I read somewhere that he did a lot of coke. I wonder if that's the real reason his nose fell apart.
He had a few nose jobs, because he didn't like his wide nose he was born with. He didn't like his color either, he was all messed-up!

Michael Jackson was a dead man walking.

i don't give this conviction a lot of credence.

Technically, that's it. Unless administered by an anathesiologist for surgery, you can't use it as a sleeping pill! The Hippocratic Oath doesn't mean that you do whatever your patient wants you to do to feel good.

But wasn't there a question of who administer the drug, the defense claim Jackson did by himself, maybe he shot up too fast or used too much.

Least its only 4 years this doc can get.

I don't like the verdict, just going to put more doc's on the defense and refuse pain meds to more folks. The patient should be held more responsible.

Jackson was totally messed up, maybe he was losing it since his little boy party days were over with and was on too many drugs all of the time? He missed all those 10 year old boys in his bed.

There was indications of the drug in his stomach and you don't drink it, so MJ might of done so, but for the doctor to have that much around in reach is just nuts.

Revealed: Conrad Murray's secret double life as a deadbeat dad and a compulsive womaniser turned doctor to the stars

To many of his devoted patients, Conrad Murray was a caring doctor who would offer treatment for free to the poor.

But his secret double life as a deadbeat dad and a compulsive womaniser led him to take a lucrative job as Michael Jackson's personal drug doctor.

Desperate for cash to pay his mounting debts, Murray took the lucrative post injecting Jackson - no questions asked - with nightly doses of the knock-out sleep drug that ultimately killed the world's biggest star.

Murray's $1.2m Las Vegas mansion was about to be repossessed after he fell $96,000 behind with the mortgage in 2009 when Jackson asked him to travel to London with him as his full-time physician, official documents reveal.

His two medical practices in Nevada and Texas faced $631,000 in court judgments and he was late paying a $64,000 personal loan and thousands of pounds in child support.

The Grenada-born doctor's spiraling debts were the reason Murray demanded $4.8m from Jackson when he was first offered the job, said friends. He later settled for $160,000-a-month.

Hours after being convicted of causing the death of the King of Pop, Murray was revealed as the King of the Cads.

Murray, who is married, has fathered at least seven children with six women, most of them out of wedlock.

According to court records, he has also been sued more than a dozen times for claims including breach of contract and unpaid child support.

Edit..hey this doc has good taste in women, check out the link for lots of pictures and more stuff like

"Murray's current mistress, Nicole Alvarez, started dating the doctor after giving him a private lap dance in her strip club's VIP lounge. Her close friend Ben Harris said she later showed him a cheque worth $4,000 Murray had given her and said: 'I've hit the jackpot.'

There a really good possibility that Murray will a 'LiLo' and barely spend enough time in jail because of overcrowding, AFTER the obvious appeals.

I did not follow the case closely, but many people don't understand how drugs are permitted to be prescribed in the United States.

Once the FDA has approved the drug for use in the United States a doc can then prescribe it for anything they want. It is called off label use. It is very, very common, both there, and here.
