Dr Watson's Postmortem Debugger?

I have a folder with movie files. If I try to change to view format from Detailed to Thumbnails, a few changes load but then the window locks up and I get a Dr. Watson Postmortem Debugger (Windows alert) message. When I close the window, Windows Explorer crashes and takes me back to my desktop. I can replicate this problem every time I try to change the view format in the folder.

Is the problem one particular file that I need to find and remove? I've moved all the files into a new folder and that doesn't help.

there's probably a corrupted file in the folder - when windows tries to render the picture, the renderer crashes, hanging the process which called it (explorer). you can try moving one file at a time out of he folder until you find the problem one.

Movies can frequently be problematic on a thumbnail view.. good luck.

Thanks. That does in fact appear to be the problem. I deleted a bunch of files and the thumbnails now work again.
