Be warned... I had two of them break in the same session! I'm going back to latex.

explain to me how condoms break

i can see them rollin off or getting twisted from sex..but breakin ??
Trust me, condoms DO break. I remember a couple of posts awhile back about how great these were supposed to be. At $16.99 for 5, I thought they'd be worth their weight in gold. Not so. For one thing, they didn't seem to have any lubrication on them, and started to feel like saran wrap after awhile.

During the appointment, we were going at it hot and heavy when she heard/felt a "pop". Sure enough, it was broken. Naturally, I thought this was a fluke, and put on a fresh one, only to have it happen yet again! I was not impressed, to say the least.

Not likely.

Never had a problem myself with Avanti. The only time I ever had a condom break is when the escort I was with was dryer than the desert. Sounds like that might be the case here too.

My disappointment with them was;

They were not elastic as a latex condom and so I had a great difficulty rolling it on, first of all.

Secondly, the supposed great increase in sensation was not evident to me at all.

Third, I percieved a crackly, crinkly sensation (probably the same as drlove), which was not the sensation I was looking for.

I am not aware of what was not to my partner's liking, but she was quite definite that she did not care to have me use them again in future sessions.

You're right. The condom did not fit snugly at all. In fact it was rather loose...as I said, it had the same feel as that saran wrap you get at Shoppers... To be perfectly honest, I couldn't notice a difference in sensation at all. My favorite condoms are still Trojan Thins (lubricated). They're the best!

i dont understand why they dont make condoms that slide up and down the dick better so you can get a better grip on them when they slide off a bit. ........................
If they slide up and down as easily as you seem to want them to, then unfortunately they will also slide off, which is what you don't want.

What you should ensure is that the area at the bottom of the shaft is kept free of lube. This will help the condom ring grip and therefore won't have as great a tendency to slide down and off. If that doesn't work maybe try using a slim model, of which there are many brands out there.

...................maybe condoms need a bit more lube..or maybe i should lube my dick before i put the condo on .....................
Yes, I think they do need more lube. I always add a couple of drops in the tip before I put it on. That is all it takes and it makes it less likely to break, as well as increasing the sensation. If you decide to lube by hand with gel or with liquid, to reduce the chances of slipping off, do not apply lube the shaft, just the head. I find it better to drop some liquid into the condom before it is applied, thus only the head is initially lubed but after a short time it will be spred by the action.

One bottle will probably last for years, so if you use a few drops only then the cost per pop is only pennies each time!! I buy my condoms by mail and quite often the merchant throws a sample dropper bottle of lube with the order.

You can also buy KY in small single use packets [I believe 10 is the smallest] that would be handier to carry around than a bottle of lube.

But, if you intend to be so thrifty tbill, try asking your SP to lube your dick or the condom. That may get you a free lube job along with your costly oil change! Many SP's regularly carry lubes with them - some may have the liquid types and others the gel in single use packets.

My problem was that there was so little give in the ring that it would not stretch enough to roll on. I had to slip my fingers under it and roll it down by hand. I can imagine then that for those who found it easy enough to roll on, that the lack of elasticity would greatly increase the chance of it sliding down, then losing it inside.

see i'd like to see condoms more user friendly. looser elastic for example. but they might not get reg approval

myself i'm always aware of condom during sex..adjusting it at times..
Maybe you can start lobbying the manufacturers to add a Tug Lug at the top so you can get a good grip on it to pull it back into place.
