i dont understand why they dont make condoms that slide up and down the dick better so you can get a better grip on them when they slide off a bit. ........................
If they slide up and down as easily as you seem to want them to, then unfortunately they will also
slide off, which is what you don't want.
What you should ensure is that the area at the bottom of the shaft is kept free of lube. This will help the condom ring grip and therefore won't have as great a tendency to slide down and off. If that doesn't work maybe try using a slim model, of which there are many brands out there.

...................maybe condoms need a bit more lube..or maybe i should lube my dick before i put the condo on .....................
Yes, I think they do need more lube. I always add a couple of drops in the tip before I put it on. That is all it takes and it makes it less likely to break, as well as increasing the sensation. If you decide to lube by hand with gel or with liquid, to reduce the chances of slipping off, do not apply lube the shaft, just the head. I find it better to drop some liquid into the condom
before it is applied, thus only the head is initially lubed but after a short time it will be spred by the action.
One bottle will probably last for years, so if you use a few drops only then the cost per pop is only pennies each time!! I buy my condoms by mail and quite often the merchant throws a sample dropper bottle of lube with the order.
You can also buy KY in small single use packets [I believe 10 is the smallest] that would be handier to carry around than a bottle of lube.
But, if you intend to be so thrifty tbill, try asking your SP to lube your dick or the condom.
That may get you a free lube job along with your costly oil change! Many SP's regularly carry lubes with them - some may have the liquid types and others the gel in single use packets.
