Durham...Some Musings from my Bunker

I've been on hiatus from the game for sometime, but have kept abreast of the goings on in my immediate area of Durham, just in case I find the need to wade back into the hobby. So lately my love life has been less than stellar, some of it by choice, as civvie ladies can be a bit whacky and think that there is more to be had out of a relationship, but I digress.

Armed with good intel here from my TERB brethren I set forth for a little action on the front lines, time to get out of the trenches and go over the top. Here's what I've encountered.

Backpage, FAK!!!, it still fucking sucks shiite! Fake pics are bad enough, but at least they are usually decent in what they show, but these girls know nothing about rudimentary photography. Pictures that show nothing of their body. How many ass shots does one need in their portfolio? Do these girls not know how to sell what they got? The item on sale is their body, show it damnit! Pics that are old without any fresh new ones. Hell, if you are still using nothing but pictures that are 6 months old without the odd new one thrown in, you aren't putting much effort into it or your body has gotten bigger...

No response or a response hours later...WTF!!! Good thing I use a hobby phone. A prime example is this Shea chic...she's got to be on thee pipe, as she has sent messages at the oddest hours and doesn't seem to work during the day or early evening. Her working location aside, especially her most recent one...
Another fine lady I tried to hook up with, all because of some good intel her from the brethren, was not at the nicest of locations, good communication during the day, she was open about when she was there and that she's available and when I message for a time, nothing. Try again and nothing...And again the next day...nothing.

With no real agency working here and the indies we have are all BP related, they have gotten some decent reviews, but seem to be unreliable at best. No real appreciation of the customer and customer service. I'm not discounting any of the reviews I've read, as I know that even shoddy performers can have good days and the odd good review.

And what's with all the car call ladies in the Durham area? Oshawa alone has Zoe and some chick in the North end, who claims to be a college chick and she puts out several different ads on BP, with pics that look too good, most def borrowed pics. You all know them, usually a pair of lips on the pics and bordered to and bottom with the image in a hazy effect. Sorry, but I'm no kid and I banged a civvie lady in my vehicle recently, thoughts of my youth on my mind, but sorry, I'm no kid anymore and even a bj wouldn't work in my type of vehicle. Hell, I want to see her body, especially her rack...

I'm sorry I missed the most recent touring lady, who by all accounts, lived up to her stellar reputation on the board, Petite Nicole...Damn she looks fine.

One good thing is I haven't spent anything on the hobby, except for Nikki, that wee BP lass with the great little frame, but service that was nothing to write home about, but served its purpose in a way.

This is more of a lament on hobby life in Durham. There was a vibrant scene at one time, not so vibrant, but a few of you lads are finding some decent engagements here and there.

I would like to add a caveat to my post with regards to this phrase, "no real agency" before Terrie jumps in to defend her agency, the only local agency. Maybe she can shed some light on the subject of the working ladies in the area, as she piped in in another thread. My phrase has to do with the fact that at one time Durham had multiple agencies available for the brothers to spend their money at. These agencies were also advertisers on TERB as well. They had a good stable of ladies and a good variety as well, who plied their trade successfully in the Durham area. The ladies were quite good, with lots of good reviews, were reliable for the most part, showing up for their shifts. Many moved on to become successful indies here and in the city with a good record of service. What's going on from the agency perspective?

Oh, and let me add to my musings on BP.

Some things never change, BP is still carpet bombed, payback I guess from what the America's did to them during WW2, with Asian ads. With their fake pics of girls who aren't in this country and probably couldn't point to it on a map. FAK! Annoying to the Nth degree!

Also, girls who are geographically challenged. Doing the same thing as the Asians do, but in this case the GTA is area bombed. Much the same as Germany was in WW2. Do these girls have Germanic roots or something? If they had any intelligence they would put their ad in geographic area that they are going to be and post an ad in their upcoming geographic area, a few days in advance of when they will be arriving in that area. Myself, not being challenged geographically, look in the area I want to go. In this day and age, even without having a degree in geography, Google can tell you all you need to know, instead of pasting your ad across the GTA. Jeezus, FUKKING annoying!

Have you generally found lamenting/whining to be profitable for you? Personally speaking, anytime I have something to whine about (which has been very rare thank goodness!), I tend to get stuck in that frame of mind and others around me pick up on it subconsciously.

I personally love this area and my Durham sweeties. I have been treated with the utmost respect and consideration by those who seek me out. People I connect with strictly in these parts are incredibly appreciative and grateful and that is something that I value greatly.

I don't host here as frequently as I used to simply because there are limited establishments to my liking. This isn't something any of us have any control over.

Another thing I would point out to women wanting to "work" here is that generally speaking, the men who frequently play in this area, tend to prioritize family over all else including their own happiness. So, there will be matters that pop up that delay playtime, but it is hardly something out of the ordinary. I would also emphasize that TERB is a better venue for advertising and will help you in the long-run.

if that wasn't your intent...OK...MY BAD...
but as i said in another thread...the DR client pool.is smaller than the Toronto client pool...so whatever we do out here isn't a true depiction of us ALL...if you put us up against the T/O...pool our Flakiness isn't that bad...%.wise

I am perplexed by this, not offended, but perplexed. Am I to take from this, that I am thinking negatively, so I am destined to fail? Much like Donald Sutherland's character in Kelly's Hero's. Oddball, says to Moriarty; "Always with the negative ways Moriarty". Or that I am just a whining little fuck...I am not sure, but it's odd for someone to make such a statement, by one who doesn't work here anymore and has gone off to greener pastures so to speak. Blaming suitable accommodations for this, when cars were fine for you at one time and to take shots at guys who put their families first.

I will take all this under consideration when I post again, about the current state of affairs here in Durham or try to book a girl and they flake out or text me in the middle of the night telling me their rates and that they are available. Thanks.

I don't receive tons of cancellations personally because I only host once in a while in Durham Region. I mostly stick to outcalls when here or more adventurous rendezvous, which btw, dirk, is not something of the past, is not something I'm ashamed about or whatever else you would like to think about me.

I love playing here, I love meeting people here, cuz they treat me well.

As for lamenting, the choices we make are ultimately ours. I do know that other men and women reading this section pick up on all the woes and avoid the area because of it.

I wonder how else my words are going to be misinterpreted now. Again, I'm sorry. My intention is not to attack anybody. I would like to praise the men and women who create a positive environment for everybody.

I will add that you have always been at the top of your game here, with regards to how you carry yourself and your service. I have had the pleasure of seeing you myself and can therefore testify to this fact.

As far as ladies go, we've had, by all accounts, a very successful visit by Petite Nicole and Stephanie is here this week.

My whining and lament is for the BP ladies that seem to be pretty much all we have left. I won't go into it further, as this is water under the bridge.

This thread is a perfect example of how people reading the text inject their own personal emotions into how they are feeling thereby putting words in the proverbial mouths of anyone else. This is true of ANY online medium. This is why it's always good to clarify the comments with anyone and as a word of advice always read any post with a neutral tone.

People are entitled to voice their opinions on the state of what they have available to them when it comes to "the hobby." To those that live in the big city or close to it we take for granted what is available to us. Those in the outlying areas have to settle for what's offered to them for many different reasons. One thing to consider however is what it would take for escorts to tour. They make their decisions on a number of different factors. Not the least of which is:

• Can they charge their regular rates based on the demographic of the area? (Not saying people in Durham are cheap)
• Can they get enough pre-bookings in the area? Simply because a few say they're interesting doesn't mean they'll book. (Not saying Durham people no show all the time)
• In reading the boards can they be assured that the clients in the area are hassle free? (Not saying Durham people pose risks or are too much trouble)

There are many other factors that are too numerous to mention. Think of it this way though. If you think Durham has it bad then what about those guys in areas even further adrift than you? I know it's of no comfort but the simple fact is the economies of scale have greater influence on those wanting to make money and where they go for their business.
