he is averaging something like 31 pts/game...and he doesnt even take that many shots. He's been real good the past few games.
He seems like the complete package (offense, defence, leader, rebounder, media) and is still having fun playing the game....Hopefully his head does not begin to swell... I had thought that Kobe had all that until his feud with Shaq and his rape/sexual assault trial fucked his head up...

D-WADE is more grounded than Kobe. I just read an article where he's hoping Shaq finishes his career with him. It's too bad Kobe doesn't have faith in his teammates. He and Odom could have been a lethal combo if Kobe would share the ball.

Yeah he's very grounded.

I also read an article about him and he donates part of his salary to his church back in Chicago. He's a real class act.

So far he's having a historic playoff series against Detroit. He's averaging over 30 pts a game on (gasp) 70 percent shooting:eek:

The only players who averaged at least 30 and over 60% shooting historically are Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Shaq, and they are centers.

Very exciting player to watch.

The other night, he took a nice poke at Shaq... it was funny and Barkley, Smith et al... did not even catch on to it...

I think it was right after the game and D-wade was asked about the play where Shaq blocked the shot, ran up the court took the ball, dribbled and then put in a layup... D-wade says something like "I haven't seen that since his days in Orlando when he was young and slim"

Anyone else caught that...

gotta love the NBA
I have not loved the NBA alot in the recent past... there was a time in the NBA when I would watch the whole game... but the last two minutes would take forever.. and I would turn off the game without seeing the end..

This year, for some reason, I find the playoffs very exciting...

I think that the Detroit/Cleveland series might have just completed King James education and we are going to see a monster next year...

James is damn good for sure, but what Wade is/was doing in the last round and in this one is something else. Wow! Seems like the playoff MVP's going to be a lock.

The Raptors could've picked Dwayne Wade before Bosh.

But James had to do it all himself. It's not like he has Shaq, Antoine Walker, Jason Williams or Jason Kapono to support him... (Alright, Kapono was great in college)...

Did you forget about Michael Doleac??? Yes I know that Kapono sucks, but he was a great college player... and he can still Kick your ass in a game... :)

Isn't he the only player of Japanese heritage ever to play in the NBA???? That should count for something???

Correct me if I am wrong (i know you would regardless) but aren't posey and haslem sucking in this series?? I used to love Alonzo Mourning, but now I hate him... do you think that him and his $10million are crying about the fact that I hate him now???

wade is the man.

after Lebron was drafted people were saying it was going to be Carmello and Lebron battling for the elite position in the NBA. Based on the way Wade has developed I think we will be witnessing the Lebron James / Dwayne Wade show for the next ten years.

They both are super talented, and both play out the Eastern Conference. Once Cleveland adds a another legit top player its going to be a battle for years to come.

As far as Haslem and Posey go, agains the Pistons they both had a very solid series...For Posey is was 3 pt shooting(I think he shot over 50 % in this series) and perimeter defense..For Haslem it was a bit of scoring, but mostly rebounds, and the guy isn't a half bad low post presence either...

Doleac didn't play :)

I think Lebron, Carmello, Bosh and Wade have all done well for themselves.

There's no arguing tht Wade is a good player but having shaq in the floor definitely opens up the floor. Wade however has shown that even without shaq he is still a force out there.

I think the league is in good shape with the influx of new talent.
