eBay...selling question

eBay users; I have an item to list on eBay. It's in excellent condition and until yesterday, there were no other similar models listed on the site. The listing by the other seller is for five days and the item is already bid up to a price meeting his/her 'reserve' and one I would be happy to receive.

My question: Is it better to list mine now or wait until his expires on Thursday? If I should wait, does it matter how long afterwards I should wait?

go ahead and list your item

list your item now, if he has bids from few people then you know yours will sell .

When the bidding ends on an eBay item, eBay usually emails the losing bidders and points out to them similar items on offer. If yours is listed then it would be on their list and thus they would know about it without any searching. Better chance of selling it.
