Electric Razors?

I'm in the market for buying an electric razor and was wondering if anybody can recommend a good brand/model.

I know Braun, Phillips and Panasonic makes electric razors and I saw a Braun Series 5 and Phillips Speed XL at Costco the other day.

Which one gives the best and closest shave possible with little to no skin
irritation?

This is a very personal thing. With Costco's excellent return policy I believe it's best to get both and try them each for 2 weeks at the minimum as that's how long it takes for your skin and beard to get used to the shaver. Then pick one and stick to it, return the other one.

Also, try to see if you get some Lectric Pre-Shave Oil. I find it an excellent product to prevent nips and little bumps. It's readily available at any Rite Aid in the states but not sure about up here.

I have always used Phillips razors and have been pleased with them. I prefer the rotary heads as they seem to give a close shave with less "catching" of the beard.
